Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Location: Harte Road, Jenkintown, PA 19046
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour (Maximum: $17.00 per hour)
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities at our Jenkintown location. This role involves promoting independence, enhancing daily living skills, and ensuring the well-being and safety of the individuals served.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Promote independence and encourage skill-building activities.
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide companionship and build positive relationships with individuals.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and families as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
